One of the traditions in American high school is celebrating the senior players' last home game. We did that last night. Parents are called onto the field and the player gives mom and dad a flower. Usually, parents and athletes can be emotional during this ceremony. I stood in for Rasmus' and Felix's parents. When called onto the field, I received two flowers and fun-loving bear hugs from both boys at the same time. Later, at home, we took a "selfie."
So there's another American tradition experienced… oh, and the boys' team is still undefeated.
